Property - Commercial

Bedfordia’s current commercial property portfolio has been built up over the last fifty years through entrepreneurial investment. Today it includes offices, warehouses, industrial sites and business parks. In all its commercial developments, Bedfordia Properties’ policy division consults with local authorities and uses the best available techniques that meet the latest environmental and welfare standards. We also ensure that our developments are in line with local employment and social planning needs as well as being appropriate to the local infrastructure and services.

Many of Bedfordia’s commercial properties were a strategic investment, bought with a view for future development. A good example of this is Highfield Parc, Clapham - a business park with 8 units totalling 32,000 square feet and currently occupied by Cuesim Ltd, Weir Pumps Ltd, Turftrax Group Ltd and Aetna UK Ltd. This site was originally purchased in the mid 70’s for use by Bedfordia’s haulage company, Bedfordia Transport, and its engineering company Courtburn (both of which were subsequently moved to other premises and sold. Following a period of occupation by a local haulage company, it stood empty until planning permission was sought for redevelopment at the time of the construction of the Clapham bypass. This was achieved and the work undertaken in early 2003. Since then it has been fully occupied and is now held by the Bedfordia Group as a long-term investment. The businesses currently occupying Highfield Parc all have excellent covenants with 10-15 year leases.
