Business Divisions
Bedfordia Group manages and supports its trading operations in 4 market sectors – and have developed outstanding businesses which aim to deliver the highest quality and exceptional value in their respective fields.
Agriculture
The agricultural division of the Group operates in North Bedfordshire and South Northamptonshire. It owns and manages 5,500 acres of predominantly arable farmland. It has 27,000 tonnes of grain storage and processing capacity used by Bedfordia farms, local farmers and agricultural merchants, and it also breeds and rears 23,000 pigs per year.
Automotive
Bedfordia Automotive owns a growing portfolio of prestige car dealerships and aftersales facilities across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. These include the Elms BMW and Elms MINI group, manufacturer approved Myltons Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Norse Saab aftersales centres, as well as the Bedfordia Accident Repair and Service Centre. The automotive division is the biggest employer in the Group and generates an annual turnover of over £110m.
Eco-technology
Bedfordia combines its extensive experience of the land with its commitment to environmental responsibility in the development and employment of new environmental technologies. Our initial developments are focused on supporting the sustainability of farming and rural communities, and our first commercial venture in this sector is through BiogenGreenfinch which is pioneering a new application of anaerobic digestion to produce renewable energy and bio-fertiliser from the recycling of food chain waste.
Property
Bedfordia Properties owns and manages a diverse property portfolio including business parks, offices, warehouses and residential properties. Bedfordia specialises in improving site value by sympathetic development and responsible land management. We invest in both brown and greenfield sites, obtaining detailed planning permissions for residential and commercial developments that are in tune with community and environmental needs.
